This article seeks to shed some light on the different ways in which gender is conformed within the organization of academic work in Chile, from the standpoint of academic trajectories at the University. To accomplish this, we will delve into the academic trajectories of women involved in feminist activism, or whose work involves the subject of gender. Adopting a qualitative and feminist research perspective stemming from thematic-content analysis applied to nine different interviews, we raised several issues and practices where academic organization engages in genderising processes. The results show how the current organization of academic work begets binary gender practices, rebuilt within the context of the transformations experienced by Chilean universities throughout their history. We specifically analyze gender binarisation in relation to teaching, research and administrative work, ss well as some of the challenges posed by feminism to combat said binarisationDownloads
