This article develops an approximation to the relation between the folktales,as product of oral tradition, and the formations of the unconscious that constitutethe subject. The signifier dimension that can be found in folktales is established, the symbolic identification that these grant, different from the imaginary identification that characterises the current media, and an analytic vision of two tales typical of the popular Spanish tradition. Finally, the importance of dialoguing with this kind of productions is discussed, keeping its structuring and binding dimension.Downloads
