Abstract

The National School Coexistence Program (PNCE) is carried out in Mexico, with the purpose of promoting environments of coexistence in schools that contributes to students' learning. The study presented was aimed at evaluating its implementation based on the CIPP model. For this, qualitative information was collected from the 34 training sessions of the PNCE in five municipalities; as well as quantitative information derived from the application of a survey in 100 schools of basic education (preschool, primary and secondary). The results showed that while participants recognize the need for the program and value its usefulness, there are aspects to improve. It is concluded that the PNCE is a programme that can achieve better results and impact if it incorporates a process of awareness-raising prior to its implementation, the punctual and complete delivery of programme materials, the improvement of the training and accompaniment process, and the fulfilment of all programme activities, incorporating it into school planning and its educational programmes.
