New social discourses rights-based related, new contemporary awareness concerning childhood or certain critical readings about boys and girls minor-age have impacted scientific production. Social Science studies done within new paradigms framework have been increased in the last years. Many researchers have reached a consensus on the need to study childhood from their own perspectives as well as from a critical and complex view when referred to issues that have a direct effect on them. With thirteen academic articles coming from different discipline fields, they show the complexity of approaches and methodologies to do research on childhood considering children's own point of view in an ethically responsible and historically situated way. They want to give evidence on the wide variety of knowledge on the modes of production of children's subjectivities, the tensions and discussions between their definition and ways of intervening in key areas such as education, mental health, family, politics, territories, war, institutions, amongst others; and to highlight the production of knowledge considering children and adolescents' own speeches on issues that have to do with parenting, child welfare, participation and school.Downloads
