Editorial: Psicología y Feminismo - Cuestiones epistemológicas y metodológicas

Abstract

The relationship between different perspectives in psychology and feminist theory with an emphasis on epistemological and meteodological discussions is the theme of the productions of Volume 12, number 2 of Psychoperspectives. It has collected contributions that consider reflections about the scientific work in psychology and its relation with theories of gender, studies of sexuality, postcolonial and decolonial feminism and Queer studies. The questioning of the ways in which we assume and understand the construction of reality - and what we accept or disqualify as knowledge - demands the consideration of ethics as a dimension that can not be alien to individual and social interests. The problematization associated with the public and private dichotomy makes it possible to visualize, for example, how - and despite progressive denunciations in the course of the years - women's entry into the public space is still far from fully registered. Poor moral and political reflection on issues such as the division of labor by gender into families as well as women's concerns remain invisible in contemporary theories of justice and community.
