Governamentalidade neuroalgorítmica: Inteligência Artificial e produção de neuro-sujeitos

Resumo

Nos últimos anos, as neurotecnologias têm despertado um interesse significativo na literatura acadêmica, abrindo um debate relevante sobre a moralidade e a ética de sua implementação. Neste artigo, tomamos certa distância desse debate para explorar que tipo de relações são estabelecidas entre os seres humanos e as neurotecnologias. Especificamente, nosso principal objetivo é investigar o papel que a inteligência artificial (IA) desempenha como mediadora entre o sistema nervoso humano e as neurotecnologias, bem como suas implicações em termos de governamentalidade. A partir de um estudo de caso do projeto Neuralink, mostramos empiricamente como a IA opera traduzindo os impulsos elétricos do sistema nervoso em dados que, posteriormente, são utilizados para influenciar o próprio sistema nervoso — por exemplo, em termos de percepção visual. Concluímos argumentando que isso configura a possibilidade de se instaurar uma governamentalidade neuroalgorítmica que prescinde da necessidade de um sujeito consciente, uma vez que opera no âmbito do nosso não-consciente cognitivo.
