Narrativas de guerra y paz en negociaciones con la guerrilla del ELN

Los estudios de paz han mostrado que los procesos de transición dependen de transformar la infraestructura psicosocial -cogniciones y emociones- del ethos del conflicto. Así, la orientación ideológica y la (des)confianza hacia el gobierno o la oposición interactúan como un prisma psicosocial que pueden facilitar u obstaculizar el apoyo ciudadano a la desescalada del conflicto. El objetivo de este estudio fue examinar la interacción entre la orientación ideológica y la (des)confianza en la configuración de emociones y creencias que actúan como facilitadores u obstaculizadores en el diálogo del presidente Petro con la guerrilla del ELN en Colombia. Se realizó una investigación empírico-descriptiva con diseño longitudinal, mediante cuestionario aplicado a 1.290 personas de la sociedad civil, distribuidas equitativamente entre 2022 y 2023. Los resultados muestran que, de la expectativa inicial de 2022 se pasó a la frustración e inseguridad en 2023. Específicamente, en la izquierda predominó la esperanza y las creencias facilitadoras; en la derecha, la desconfianza y las creencias obstaculizadoras; y en el centro, un perfil ambivalente con lenguaje institucional y creencias instigadoras. En conclusión, la desconfianza política emerge como variable central, lo que demanda fortalecer la confianza y diseñar estrategias sociopolíticas orientadas a la cohesión social y la reconciliación.
