This research intends to investigate the effects of music in developing the joint attention skills in a child with autism spectrum disorder. This carried out a targeted intervention program, developed from music therapy resources, which is our independent variable. The method used included different activities directed towards developing the child´s joint attention skills, the dependent variable. For the verification of a significant effect of music on joint attention skills, an experimental design of multiple time series modified was used. The results, obtained from observation at various times of the process, suggest a meaningful relationship between them.Published
