This article aims to present in detail and from an experiential view the use ofyoga practice as a complementary therapeutic technique in the treatment of addictions. Considering that, despite the increasing popularity of this practice, there are few detailed descriptions of its use in clinical settings, this article provides an overview of the philosophy and practice of yoga, its physical and psychological benefits, its practice in a particular clinical context - the treatment of addictions-, and, finally, the view of the patients on the role of yoga in their rehabilitation process.Published
