Abstract

This article analyzes the process of adoption from two perspectives: on one hand, the relational-systemic perspective, highlighting the importance and specificity of the diverse systems involved, being conscious that the success of an adoption also depends on the ability to harmonize the diverse professional competences. The second perspective involves family developmental processes: this article specifically analyzes the family cicle of the adoptive family, posing the peculiarity of its critical events, either understood from a developmental or from a critical perspective. Knowing about risk and protective factors puts the couple in a position of a greater consciousness in order to face this trip of constructing a family.
