Abstract

A shared feature of the concepts used for the description of the current crisis in the labour market, is the emphasis placed on the governance of the wills. This goes hand in hand with an ideological tendency which is present in a series of social spheres, to turn dependency into a moral pathology. This ideological trend is clearly shown in discourses on unemployment. These discourses naturalize psychological aspects, whereby social problems become personal problems. An illustration of these kinds of discourses is that of social policies for activation.
