This paper presents the process of building the methodological model and the categorial systems of a research on organizational identity of middle managers from the Organization Studies´s perspective. It describes the context in which the study is developed; explains the specific case study that defines the analysis of data and results; reviews the theoretical framework, basis of the methodological model of the corresponding analysis; and shows the steps followed to build the analytical categories and the categorial systems that provide meaning to the data obtained to respond to the objectives proposed. It also addresses the methodological process that lies beneath every research study and that is rarely made explicit. This will allow other researchers to have a reference and alternatives to prepare their own project of construction of meaning, a fundamental -if not the most important-aspect of every researcher's learning process.Downloads
